Doctors of Optometry are licensed to examine, diagnose and treat vision problems, which includes prescribing and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses, vision therapy, refractive surgery consultation and detection and management of eye disease.

A Canon Retinal Imaging System is the newest equipment addition at Taber Vision Centre. This camera takes a digital picture of the inside of the eye and stores the image in memory. This technology helps the doctor monitor eye health and diagnose potential eye health and general health concerns. The doctor checks the digital image for signs of Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, Diabetes, as well as other health conditions.
